Bonham, the case
lately

Mr. John Face
a clerk in the Treasurer's
department in the Colony of
Hong Kong.
Mr. Hare was appointed
to the situation by Earl Grey in 1849 - and at that time he
was not only given to understand that it was permanent, but likely
to be progressive;
